I tell you the truth; eons will pass, mountains will die, the sun will burn up, and Newgrounds will STILL be coming up with new ways to be wildly entertainingly surreal.

[True Friendship]

The beauty of Friendship is Magic is deep and hard to explain, but one element of its amazing quality is the emotions that just write themselves. Powerful, spiritually intense situations are constantly set up for the fan-base to flesh out with just the slightest bit of imagination and only going slightly off-cannon to present some seriously emotional material.

This whole movie is pretty conventional in its plot; having Spike grow up and leave has been done elsewhere.

But the end, where we come to see where these images are coming from, you have to cry. You will weep every time.

Coming off watching one of the unappealing washes of imagination and waste of talent and hard work we call "art flashes", I simply HAD to go back and watch The Yu Yu again.

It does something that almost no other flashes with great animation do: be entertaining. It's one of the most exhilarating and fantastic pieces of work ever uploaded to this website.

WHIMSY WHIMSY WHIMSY WHIMSY WHIMSY.

You want some whimsiness? The whimsiness is cranked to 11. It is unhealthy to take in this much whimsy at once.

This movie is so original. So inventive and fresh in the way it looks and sounds like every single 'artistic' children's film made in the past 30 years. With such a creative setting: steampunk. BOY, there sure hasn't been enough steampunk cartoons lately.

This cartoon makes me feel so emotional. Specifically, it makes me feel the "I am watching a dialogueless steampunk cartoon in the 21st century" emotion.

This was the most whimsical and the most black-and-white Professor Layton cut-scene ever created. Good job.

Also, erasing all the sketch lines on character faces is for sissies. WHIMSY WHIMSY ART WHIMSY ART ART ART.
